Dholera Smart City will be created as a prototype urban community supported by innovative “smart city” technologies, advanced digital services and progressive digital infrastructure to provide its residents with a range of essential urban services. Dholera Smart City will employ both Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in an overall integrated Command and Control Centre to create a single source for managing urban services and infrastructure. The real time monitoring systems will also improve traffic management, assess public safety, monitor utility services, such as water supply, sewage, solid waste, and assess the impact on the environment. High-speed digital connectivity will be deployed to develop a large-scale smart surveillance system and create intelligent transportation systems to improve the delivery of services and quality of life for the residents of Dholera Smart City. Through the implementation of innovative technologies and data-driven governance, Dholera Smart City will offer sustainable urban growth, business and economic development, and “smart” urban living environments for its residents.
